Privacy Policy

What is stored, and where

Cortexa saves the following to a file inside its own private container on your device:

• Your completed tests: the score, the questions asked, and the answers you gave
• Your personal best
• Your daily-question streak and whether today's question is done
• Which questions you have seen recently, so a retake can avoid repeating them
• Whether you have finished onboarding

That file lives in the app's Application Support directory. It is covered by iOS file protection and by your device passcode, and other apps cannot read it.

What is not collected

• No name, email address, phone number or account of any kind
• No advertising identifier, and no tracking across apps or websites
• No analytics, crash reporting, or usage telemetry
• No location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera access — the app never asks for any permission
• No third-party SDKs. Cortexa has no external dependencies.

Cortexa contains no code capable of making a network request. It works entirely offline, including in aeroplane mode.

Sharing

If you tap Share your result, iOS shows the standard system share sheet and you choose where the image goes. Cortexa creates the image on your device and hands it to iOS; it does not upload it anywhere and cannot see what you do with it. Whatever app you share to has its own privacy policy, which governs from that point on.

Children

Cortexa is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, of any age. There is nothing to delete and no profile to build.

Deleting your data

Delete the app. Everything it stored goes with it. There is no server-side copy, because there is no server.

Changes to this policy

If Cortexa ever adds a feature that transmits data — it currently has none — this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be described in the release notes.
